All metals used for traditional hard metal roofing will be between a gauge of 0.5mm and 0.7mm thick from coil material.
This allows us to hand form the metal to irregular shapes ,curves and profiles. A typical standard tray will comprise a 25mm high standing seam joint at a range of seam centres from 600mm down to 185mm dependant on design and local environmental factors.
Metals available for roofing applications include:
Copper, Bronze, Brass, Zinc, Stainless Steel, Pre-Painted Steel and Pre-Painted Aluminium.
We can offer a batten roll joint detail on lower pitched roofs down to a three degree slope.
The type and finish of metal used will be entirely dependant on the client or architect's design criteria but we are happy to provide guidance on the best or most appropriate finish and detailing.
